The Highs & Lows of High School COVID-19

In 2020, my classmates and I went home for our junior year spring break and didn’t return back to campus until August to start our senior years during the thick of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Per an order from the Florida Department of Education, all public schools were required to reopen by August 31, 2020 with in-person instruction. Even though schools were open, high school had never been so different.

Worries about presentations, varsity tryouts, and school dances were replaced by masking, vaccines, and death. Reflecting on this, here’s a small collection of photos from my senior year at Lyman High School – Class of 2021.
